Since we are again planning on using the double elimination format, there will be matches scheduled on Thursday and Friday evenings with play continuing all day Saturday and Sunday.

We hope to have 8 Ball nailed down soon, but it is tentatively scheduled for June 17th-20th at The Roanoke Sheraton on Hershberger Road. If enough people show up, we can have brackets for high and low ranked players. For example, if a lot of 6s and 7s show up for 8-Ball, there could be a bracket for 2s - 5s and a bracket for 6s - 7s. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

The entry fee depends on the number of entries and the number of spots that qualify. The group will decide how many will get qualified. That number times $96 will be divided equally between the participants. The average entry fee is $10-$20. Please see the attached price sheet for examples of how this works.

One Final Note. After looking at the FAQ Eddie referred to on Poolplayers.com, I contacted the National Office to inquire since I felt the answer was incorrect. After some minor discussion it was agreed that, "The game does not begin until the rack is struck." Therefore, the break does not go to the other shooter if you scratch or throw the cue ball off the table if you do not strike the rack.

They are planning to edit the text in the new Team Manual which will be released for this year's Summer Session to make this ultimately clear.

The reason Superbowl Sunday and Easter as well are scheduled for play is to keep Sunday divisions on track with the other nights of play.
